A ticket purchase is not refundable from its original pools. The salvage swap instead lets you sell eligible far-future entries to a contract-selected buyer. The quote is deliberately punitive: this is an emergency exit, not a promise to recover what you spent.
| Eligible | Entries 6 to 100 levels beyond the level a ticket would buy into today |
| Granularity | Single entries, not whole tickets. Four entries make a ticket |
| Not eligible | Anything within 5 levels, and everything once the game is over or the death clock has fired |
Near-term entries stay put. Eligible entries must be 6–100 levels beyond the level a new ticket would currently enter.
| Distance out | You get |
|---|---|
| 6 levels | 15% of face |
| 20 levels | 10% of face |
| 100 levels | 5% of face |
The curve slides between those points, and a daily per-player jitter scales the offer between 70% and 110%. A quote therefore lands between 3.5% and 16.5% of the entries' face value at their target levels, not necessarily the amount originally paid. The day's jitter is fixed for that player.
Nothing here is a refund. You are selling an asset to a buyer at a price you should hate, and the discount is what makes anyone willing to take the other side.
| 40–80% | Tickets at the current level, bought for you on the spot |
| The rest | Split between withdrawable ETH and a FLIP credit |
The split is rolled, not chosen. The ticket leg executes as a normal recycled purchase at the active ticket level, including its usual pool routing and purchase effects. The FLIP leg is credited into the next daily coinflip; it is not immediately withdrawable.
Your entries are not destroyed. They transfer intact to a buyer, who now holds that far-future exposure and will receive its jackpot eligibility when the target level arrives.
| First in line | sDGNRS, using its own claimable balance while keeping at least 1 ETH above the quote |
| Backstop | The vault, if the vault owner has opted in and can cover it above its reserve floor |
| If neither can pay | The swap reverts. There is no other buyer |
The buyer receives the entries intact and takes their delay and outcome risk. If neither buyer can meet its funding floor, the swap reverts.
Far-future entries are cheap because they are patient. See what they are waiting for.
